Practise your space-flight skills
The main body of Star Citizen is about space travel between different systems and fight enemy space vassels. Before you actually start the MMO game, practise your skills in Arena Commander mode is a good idea.
Purchase insurance for your ships
In Star Citizen, once your ship got destoryed by pirates, enemies, other players etc. it is destoryed for good. You have to pay same amount of money or in-game currency to get another one. However if you purchased insurance for your ship, you can get a new one for free. So make sure your ships have insurance, you can also consider buying ships with life time insurance.
